MAX14883E CAN Transceivers
Maxim Integrated MAX14883E CAN Transceivers are designed and optimized for industrial network applications with ±60V fault protection, a ±25V functional common mode input range, and high ±10kV ESD protection (contact discharge) on the CANH and CANL bus. The MAX14883E Transceivers operate from a single 5V supply (VCC) and includes a logic-level supply input (VL) for interfacing with 1.8V to 5V logic. The MAX14883E features a polarity selection input (POL) that swaps the CANH and CANL I/Os, allowing for software correction of cross-wired field cables.
METRO M0 Express
Adafruit METRO M0 Express is an upgrade from the original METRO 328 and features an ATSAMD21G18 ARM Cortex MO+ chip instead of the ATmega328. The ATSAMD21G18 ARM Cortex M0 processor is clocked at 48MHz and has 3.3V logic, the same as in the Arduino Zero. This chip has 256K of FLASH (8x more than the Atmega328) and 32K of RAM (16x as much). This chip comes with built-in USB so it has USB-to-Serial program and debug capability with no need for an FTDI-like chip. The METRO MO Express can be used with CircuitPython or Arduino IDE. CircuitPython is based on the open-source MicroPython which brings the popular Python language to microcontrollers.
